Women’s Featherweight Title Bout: Cris Cyborg (c) vs. Holly Holm
Two of the most decorated female strikers in MMA will finally meet when UFC featherweight champion Cris Cyborg makes her first title defense against the former UFC bantamweight champion Holly Holm. Cyborg (18-1) TKO’d Tonya Evinger to capture the vacant title at UFC 214 in July. The former Strikeforce and Invicta FC featherweight champion has remained undefeated for the last 12-years. Holly Holm will be looking to become the first woman to capture UFC gold in two weight divisions. Holm failed to capture the inaugural featherweight championship against Germaine de Randamie at UFC 208 in February. De Randamie was later stripped of the title after refusing to fight then No. 1 ranked contender Cyborg. Holm returned to the Bantamweight division and win column with a highlight reel head kick over Bethe Correia at UFC Fight Night Singapore in July.
