AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm will be defending her title against NJPW Strong Women’s Champion Willow Nightingale at AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Toni Storm captured the AEW Women’s World Championship for the second time by defeating Jamie Hayter at Double or Nothing in May. Storm is a member of The Outcast faction alongside Saraya and Ruby Soho.
Willow Nightingale won the inaugural NJPW Strong Women’s Championship by winning a four-woman tournament at Resurgence in May. Nightingale defeated Momo Kohgo in the semi-finals before advancing to the finals and defeating Mercedes Moné.
