Michael “Venom” Page will finally face his bitter rival Paul “Semtex” Daley at Bellator 216 on Saturday 16th February at Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut. The card will air live in the early hours of Sunday on Sky Sports in the UK and Ireland.
The undefeated Michael Page (13-0) will get a step up in competition when he meets Paul Daley in the opening round of the Bellator Welterweight World Grand Prix. Page has racked up eight wins in a row since signing with Bellator in 2014. MVP was last seen in action against David Rickles at Bellator 200 at the O2 Arena. The London Shootfighter forced Rickles to retire from the action after getting picked apart in the stand-up game.
Paul Daley (40-16-2) will be looking to rebound from his unanimous decision loss to Jon Fitch at Bellator 199. Paul famously vented his frustration at Fitch’s wrestling-based strategy to the cage side commentators mid-fight. Daley’s last win came against Lorenz Larkin at Bellator 183 in 2017, where he stopped Larkin via TKO in the second round.
The winner of this bout will face the former Bellator welterweight champion Douglas Lima in the semifinals of the Grand Prix.
