Cage Warriors 97 Fight Card
The undefeated Jack “Tank” Shore will get his shot at the vacant bantamweight title in front of his home crowd when he meets Omer Cankardesler at Cage Warriors 97 on Saturday 29th September at Ice Arena, Cardiff.
Cage Warriors Bantamweight Title Bout: Jack Shore vs, Omer Cankardesler
Jack “Tank” Shore (8-0) was last seen in action defeating UFC veteran Vaughan Lee via at unanimous decision at Cage Warriors 92 in March. The undefeated Welshman has finished 7 of his 8 opponents by KO/TKO or submission. Shore was undefeated as an amateur with an outstanding record of 12-0. The Welshman was crowned IMMAF lightweight champion after winning the 2015 IMMAF European Open Championships.
Omer Cankardesler (8-5) will look to follow in his fellow German’s Jonas Billstein’s footsteps and capture a Cage Warriors title on enemy territory. Cankardesler comes into this bout on a two-fight winning streak against Shaun Waltmans and Paul Häcker. The German stepped in to replace Shore’s original opponent Jakub Wikłacz.
Lightweight Bout: Mason Jones vs. Kacper Formela
Mason Jones (5-0) put on a dominant performance against Konmon Deh at Cage Warriors 98 in July. Jones is fresh from his training camp at Urijah Faber’s Ultimate Fitness gym with Team Alpha Male in Sacremento, California. The Welshman has been on the mats with UFC veterans Chad Mendes, Darren Elkins, Danny Castillo and Sage Northcutt.
Kacper Formela (8-1) is known as the Polish Machida due to his Karate fighting style. Formela comes into the bout riding a 4-fight winning streak with 3 stoppages. The Polak’s lone defeat in professional MMA competition came at the hands of Aiden Lee at Cage Warriors 83.
