Cage Warriors Academy South East 24: Nik Bagley defeats Jack Eglin for the Bantamweight title!
Nik Bagley defeated Jack Eglin to capture the Cage Warriors Academy South East Bantamweight title at CWSE 24 on Saturday night at the Charter Hall in Colchester.
Bagley took Eglin down with a double leg takedown and landed some punches from half guard before the referee stood both fighters up. Nick wasted no time shooting for the double leg again and driving Jack into the cage, where he picked his opponent up before slamming him to the canvas. Bagley landed more shots from half guard before moving to side control where Eglin managed to get back to his feet as the first round came to a close.

The fighters met in the center the cage, where they traded punches and kicks until Bagley shot straight in for another double leg takedown. Nick continued to control the fight from half guard and side control where he landed punches and threatened with chokes. Jack scrambled to his feet and managed to create some space from his opponent’s smothering attack. The pair briefly traded blows before Bagley pressured Eglin against the cage as the second round ended.

Bagley briefly got the fight back to the mat but Eglin bounced back to his feet. Bagley managed to score one more big takedown as the final round came to a close.
