The Professional Fighters League (PFL), the fastest growing and most innovative sports league, today announced that one of Britain’s leading female prospects, Shanelle Dyer (2-0), has signed with PFL Europe.

Known as ‘The Nightmare’, the hugely talented 22-year-old Flyweight joins a roster that features the best talent from Europe, including Dakota Ditcheva, Frans Mlambo, Ali Taleb, Francesco Nuzzi and Lewis McGrillen. The undefeated London star, who had a glittering amateur career, will make her PFL Europe debut at the PFL Europe Finals in Dublin on December 8 at the 3Arena.

Dyer has also recently come to the attention of a mainstream audience with her starring role in The Good Fight Club, a new series tracking the journey of young MMA fighters. Currently showing across Sky Documentaries, the four-part mini-series documents Dyer’s tough upbringing as cameras follow her as she prepares to win the prestigious E.M.M.A.A Four Nations Championship.

Dan Hardy, Director of Fighter Operations of PFL Europe: “I could not be more excited to bring Shanelle Dyer onto the PFL Europe roster. I’ve watched her rising through the ranks and winning titles, and seen her in action in the gym many times. There is no doubt that she is one of the most formidable prospects in all of Mixed Martial Arts, and to have her join the PFL roster so early in her career means that we can bring Shanelle’s journey to the top, to the MMA fans around the world. I think within a short amount of time PFL Europe fans will realise that we have a real talent on our hands, and will eagerly anticipate her fights each time she steps into the Smartcage.”

As part of its commitment to supporting the grassroots of the sport, PFL Europe is also delighted to become an official partner for this weekend’s E.M.M.A.A Four Nations Championship which takes place July 14-16 at the Ebbw Vale Sports Centre in Wales. PFL Europe will also be launching the ‘PFL Europe Prospect Award’ at the event. Awarded to three fighters who show particular promise, the special scholarship see each granted $1,000 funding towards their training over the next 12 months, plus a mentorship by Director of Fighter Operations, Dan Hardy, to help guide their progression within the sport.

James Frewin, SVP of International for the PFL: “PFL Europe are proud to be partnering with E.M.M.A.A Four Nations Championships. The investment they make to provide more opportunity to develop the sport at the grassroots is vital for the development of MMA in the UK & Ireland and we look forward to a long and successful partnership.”

PFL Europe is the PFL’s first international league and will showcase the very best MMA athletes across Europe. PFL Europe is holding quarterly events throughout 2023, which began in Newcastle on March 25. The ground-breaking league features 32 of Europe’s top fighters from 14 countries competing across four weight divisions. After four events, four PFL Europe Champions will be crowned with each Champion taking home $100,000. Champions also have a chance to earn a spot on the PFL Global Roster and the $1 million global season prize.
