Jimmie “El Terror” Rivera will face off with former WSOF bantamweight champion Marlon Moraes in the main event of UFC Fight Night Utica tonight at Adirondack Bank Center in Utica, New York.
Jimmie Rivera (21-1) is on a 20 fight winning streak and hasn’t tasted defeat in professional MMA competition since 2008. Rivera holds UFC wins over Thomas Almeida, Urijah Faber, Iuri Alcantara, Pedro Munhoz and Marcus Brimage. The New York native is a product of Team Tiger Schulmann and veteran of the KOTC, Bellator and WSOF promotions.
Marlon Moraes (20-5-1) is a former bantamweight champion in the World Series of Fighting. Moraes defended the title 5 times before signing with the UFC last year. The Brazilian made his promotional debut against Raphael Assuncao at UFC 212, where he lost via split decision. Marlon trains out the Ricardo Almeida Jiu-Jitsu alongside Frankie Edgar, Eddie Alvarez, and Edson Barboza.
